Morning Coffee - Accountability

This is an interesting morning. I have been working on my narrative on my indoctrination into the world of pro-choice. I am also working on some new thoughts on people with learning disabilities. I am pondering what do they do after high school? Does having the learning disabilty help dictate the college or vocation that they choose after? If they go to collage do they choose a 4 year institution (state/private) or do they choose a career college, and why? I will be working on a frame work for this and we will see where it goes.

OK back to accountability. This morning watching President Bush’s speech on Iraq I have to applaud him in saying the following (posted on MM.com):

“The ultimate accountability rests with me. That’s what the 2004 campaign was out. I believe our generals are doing the job we asked them to do. And this country owes them a lot of support.”

This is the truth. If we didn’t think Bush was doing a good job then America would not have voted for him. This comment had to be a slap in the face to our good ole’ friend Kerry… who BTW will not go away.

There is a cat-fight between Michael J. Fox and Rush Limbaugh regarding Michael’s Stem Cell campaigning. Rush puts it better then me (of course that is why he makes the big bucks):

Then you bring forth a person who’s suffering the disease, and you illustrate the disease and the ravages and the suffering on TV to create sympathy and infallibility, because you’re not supposed to be able to attack somebody or criticize somebody in any way or in any regard if they suffer from the disease. It’s considered cold-hearted and cruel. What’s happening here is that Michael Fox has entered the political arena with his attack, which includes false information about Senator Talent and Michael Steele in Maryland. That’s fair game, and I am not going to follow the script that says we’re not allowed to comment on the things said by participants, “victims,” what have you, that the Democrats put forth as infallible in the middle of a political campaign.

Fox responds to Rush’s comments on him being off medication for the commercial but fails to address the other fine points Rush and the rest of us are making. Over at Hot Air people are still fairly outraged and we find out that Cardin have voted against stem cell research… so why the campaign ad?

EEK This has gotten long.

I will just link this post from California Conservative, Citgo’s Damage Control Campaign. Hugo has really set his country’s foreign relations with western powers back by coming to the U.N. and calling our president “the devil”. From the Canadian news:

In a wealthier suburb, sociologist Elizabeth Fuenmayor said she is ashamed that Chavez is president. “He just wants control of everything, and he feels that if he‘s in the U.N. also, he will have more power.”

of course:

Venezuelan society remains polarized over Chavez, and the poor are among his most vociferous backers.

Anyway’s good morning. Happy Wednesday!
